Helse Vest RHF (the Western Norway Regional Health Authority) has overall responsibility for the specialist health service in the counties of Rogaland, Hordaland and Sogn og Fjordane.

Helse Vest RHF owns five health trusts. The health trusts employ around 26,900 staff, run 50 hospitals and institutions, and provide healthcare to almost 1,1 million people.

Helse Vest RHF employs some 50 staff and is based in Forus in Stavanger. Staff functions include the executive management team, consultants with medical backgrounds, lawyers, economists, social scientists, HR consultants, communications consultants, accountancy staff and secretaries.
