Who can apply for research funding?
An agreement of support is to be attached if the applicant is not employed by one of Helse Vest RHF's health trusts or by a private, non-profit institution who has an agreement with Helse Vest. Refer to "Agreement of support necessary" for more information.
Who can apply – requirements at the time of application
The applicant must be employed (minimum 20 %) by a health trust in the region or by a
private, non-profit institution that has an agreement with Helse Vest.
For PhD fellowship applications: The candidate, supervisor or project manager must be employed (minimum 20 %) by a health trust in the region or by a private, non-profit institution that has an agreement with Helse Vest.
Temporary employment
If the candidate is temporary employed at the time of application, the applicant institution must be informed of the application.
Application access for non employees
If employment requirements are not met, people who are employed by the University of Bergen, University of Stavanger or the Western Norway University of Applied Sciences, can still apply if an agreement of support with a health trust or a private, non-profit institution is attached.
Note! Agreement of support can not be used for the application categories Clinical Reseacher Fellowships and Clinical Career Fellowships.
An agreement of support must be made between the department/clinic in the health trust/private, non-profit institution and the department or the equivalent in the institution where the applicant is employed. The agreement must be signed according to the authority structure of the institution, and at the level of clinic director, head of department, or the equivalent, at a minimum.
